The earthquake struck without warning, ravaging entire cities in its sweep. Buildings crumbled like sandcastles, and the screams that erupted was deafening. Worst Day Ever

It all started with a terrible case of morning hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was dashing out the door, I trippedover and landed all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was totally running behind for work.

I arrived. My {boss|friend|was absolutely furious. I tried to explain, but it was no use.

The rest of the day was just as bad. was a catastrophe. I stay awake.

By the time I got home, I was utterly defeated. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

Things Went From Bad to Absolutely Terrible

It all started out terribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
